The Affordable Care Act is also known as Obamacare. People who fill out a Federal Income
Tax form MUST maintain health insurance for themselves and their dependents.

What if I can’t afford health insurance? Individuals and families whose income falls below
the level set by the Federal Government will be insured with Medi-Cal. If you are not sure if you
qualify for Medi-Cal, call us and we will let you know.

Yes! Individuals with lower incomes often qualify for subsidized plans. To qualify for a subsidy, be
prepared to provide your address, a tax return and the name of your employer. Examples of

Does Covered California have a plan with higher monthly premiums but that reduce my
out-of-pocket costs when I have a claim? Good question. Yes. Covered California has both a
